My main reason for starting this book club stemmed from my love of reading. However, living in the countryside of New York, I had no one to talk to directly about these epic reads. When the pandemic began, like many of you, I dove further into reading. Books provided the only thing that felt normal amidst the unknown of the day-to-day movement of covid-19 across the globe. The books became a welcomed distraction. I clung to them to escape and remain calm.
